"Jesus Christ said: "Yes, I am coming soon."

Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all."

(Revelation 22:20-21)

Dear Friends –

The quote above is from the very last words of The Bible and refers to Christ’s second coming in judgment at the end of times. However, I found myself recently wishing and praying that this Christmas, Jesus would not only come and be born again in many new souls, but more so, for a “second coming” of Jesus in those souls who forced Him to go away for one reason or another, and they now need to be reminded how very much they really need Him back in their being.

When you follow the news and find so much maladaptive behavior permeating every area of our existence, from back-alley poverty and ignorance, to high-rise affluent intelligentsia, immorality and unchristian values dominate every class, culture and country… Christ is not walking our neighborhoods amongst friends, but rather surrounded by every devilish form of ignorance, complacency and evil. Foul language is rampant, self is aggrandized constantly at the expense of another, and hatred dominates rampant free-speech displays everywhere… Satan is most definitely walking our streets with ease and acceptance… peace does not prevail.

The messages of Christmas are many and as we stare into the Nativity Scene we are first reminded that Jesus should find a home in our soul for the very first time, or with a renewed vigor, to mature His being into our existence actively.  Devout Christians should also see there the need a newborn has for parents, and when God Almighty gave Jesus the exemplary parents of Mary and Joseph, we should emulate their example in becoming responsible caretakers in birthing Christ in another person dear to us.  Natural parents must do that with their own children making sure they implant the spiritual being of Jesus in their child, but anyone can bring forth the child Jesus in another with the help of Almighty God The Father… being a modern day Joseph or Mary takes diligent commitment, but oh, what joy to bring another into the family of God.  In these days of relativism we know many who have foolishly fallen away from God, and now being the time of great spiritual significance and yourself being filled with the true meaning of Christmas, approach all those relatives, friends, or co-workers with concentrated effort to make Jesus known and desired. Evangelize… get the devil off the streets… and the graces of God Almighty will dominate our everyday existence.   Let Jesus be the real reason you and your whole family celebrate Christmas this year… don’t let Him be turned away anymore… help Him find a new home this year.

“Peace on earth will come to stay, when we live Christmas every day."

Helen Steiner Rice

What a glorious thought to think… everyday Peace on earth!  But remember, all the effort we take in time and treasure to make joy and happiness exist for our loved ones at Christmas, is the same caliber of effort it will take to bring joy daily.  We must always spread the spiritual gift of seeing Christ born new and stronger in all that we can, and with that effort, peace will reign in our hearts.

Come, Lord, and tarry not! Bring the long-looked-for day! O why these years of waiting here, These ages of delay?

Come, for your saints still wait, Daily ascends their sigh;      The Spirit and the Bride say “Come!” Do you not hear the cry?

Come, for creation groans, Impatient of your stay, Worn out with these long years of ill, These ages of delay.

Come, and make all things new, Build up this ruined earth; Restore our faded paradise, Creation’s second birth.                                                                                                     H. Bonar

-----     THE HOLY FAMILY     -----

Jesus, Mary and Joseph were the original Holy Family, for God’s presence existed in their material and spiritual lives. Can we have modern day “holy families” predominating when for decades the secularists have been cohabitating without sacred marriage vows, or homosexuals having lawfully sanctioned marriages when God considers their lifestyle an abomination? Of course not with a secular majority anyway, but they do exist in Christian homes all across the world and the joy they experience in this Holy Season is so much greater than the worldly will ever know.

Christian families know life is difficult, but they always have God to depend on, but not so for the faithless, they don’t want to be reliant on anyone for self-sufficiency is their agenda. But that self-sufficiency is far from adequate when the world throws at them some of the worst circumstances of life, and so they falter and collapse under these unbearable burdens. Addictions of all kinds thrive when these burdens become insufferable and for many, overdoses and suicides are their end result. Self-love has always been the materialists driving force, while Christians know that true love is found in putting one's self last for the good of another… an example learned from Christ.

Suffering sacrifice is another and greater component of love, which Jesus also demonstrated, and is something the faithless don’t understand being a requirement of Almighty God for entrance into heaven. The Christian mother sacrifices every day to give her children the greater portion at mealtime while she claims not to be hungry, and she always fulfills the other needs of her children before her own. A Christian father will work two jobs exhausting himself to meet the needs of the family, and he is most likely not the one to use a gun to get what his family needs. A “Holy Family” doesn’t use foul language at all, and inappropriate behavior is pointed out with reprimand; church attendance is regular and daily prayers are private or family structured and always at mealtime and bedtime. Family activities dominate which keeps the family together instead of each member going off on his own private endeavors… the family that prays and plays together, stays together.

Members of a “Holy Family” are not the ones having public tirades of rage and immorality; abortion or killing in any form is not in their spiritual makeup; self-promotion at the expense of another is not their capability; all the “thou shalt not” commandments that God declared they believe, and that old adage of “What Would Jesus Do,” (WWJD) has always been their solution to ponder. They don’t make the nightly news or headlines anywhere, so obviously, who do you want walking the streets of this world… the givers or the takers… it is that simple a choice. If you are a giver, a member of a “Holy Family,” yeah for you! How proud of you, His child, is your Holy  Father. If you are not a member of a “Holy Family” and put self first as a taker, then wake up… get in the true spirit of these holy days and let Jesus be born in you to grow big and strong in the ways of The Father… then you will have true life… then you will have true love… eternally!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!
