Dear Friends –
Unmerited suffering is one of the many topics in the Book of Job, and while we know from other books in The Bible, God most definitely has the power to inflict suffering where He deems punishment is deserved, however, it was not so for Job because God knew him to be a righteous man and to prove it, He allowed Satan to test him. What appears to be unmerited suffering in our current culture would be the thousands of people ill and dying in a global pandemic, especially tragic for the very young who have just begun to live. And that is very often, in one form or another, the basis for the atheists cry out to disbelieve in a God who would let little children or anyone suffer, especially when He claims to be a God of love. The ignorant to God’s ways,
particularly those who conveniently choose science as the end-all authority to life because they are too self-absorbed to give the necessary time to learning anything about Him, don’t have the slightest idea that while God created a perfect natural world for us to live in and dominate, it is we who have messed it up… it is we who have created the diseases that kill… not God. And yet, the arrogant atheists want the God of love to freely and randomly zap out all of our mistakes from His heavenly throne as by a stroke of a magic wand… shazaam… all the cancers we created from our man-made products like asbestos and weed-killers would be zapped away without our ever asking Him for help… JUST BECAUSE HE SHOULD DO IT according to them, the selfish, senseless, sinful atheists… they know nothing of His perfect logic because they can’t get past their own inadequate asinine reasoning. Put Einstein’s Theory of Relativity before a non-mathematician and it looks like a bunch of unrelated letters and numbers and so they say it means nothing… but, let a scientist tell them it does mean something, and they will believe. Let a respected Theologian tell them there is a living God, they won’t believe nor will they take the time to learn and open their closed minds… they ignorantly judge and criticize what they do not know!
Free will is our gift from Almighty God who decided at Creation that He didn’t want slaves in His world but rather children created in His image who could freely love Him. God created a whole, beautiful, and completely perfect in every way humankind, with innumerable characteristics and talents… deformity, disease, and death only came about after original sin because of free will. In the natural world we inherit a genetic makeup from our parents, while in the supernatural or spiritual world we inherit the image of God ONLY when we are baptized into His Christian Family. With a growing Christian image inside us, we learn the material people of the world can and will impose unmerited suffering upon us in different degrees of victimization; we carry those crosses just like Jesus with the help of our Spiritual Father in heaven. 
Any suffering we endure is a sacrifice received by Almighty God for the conversion of sinners and atonement of the world and never goes unnoticed by Him regardless of its intensity. The present-day global suffering is certainly within His gaze with special attention on His children who are talking to Him in prayer constantly. No, He will not be zapping out this whole horrible mess like the atheists think He should, but He most definitely has guided the recovery of many with His spectacular unseen miracles, because that’s the way He works, behind the scene and invisible to the eye, but seen by Christian hearts. He will also guide the doctors and scientists to cures, vaccines, and even total eradication if we believe in and ASK FOR HIS HELP, for He never interferes where unwanted. Jesus taught us how to pray because The Father wants to hear it… and if that’s what He wants, He is certainly listening and will answer.
Job uttered the above words to his friends who had come to console him during his unmerited suffering, mainly because they misunderstood his situation. However, as I recently read those words,
I couldn’t help but think, what if God said those same words to us today in our time of desperation, when He could so willingly come to our aid with the strength of His knowledge, instead He might just be shaking His head with silent lips in disgust at how Christians have let a global pandemic of evil take over the spiritual world. God’s goodness does not prevail in this world… we have let the dumb get dumber, the atheists gain strength from error, misconceptions to His Being and powers promoted without rebuke… Christians are not doing enough to eradicate the suffering brought on by evil! It’s time for His children to take renewed vigorous action to defend, educate, and promote The Father’s Image… no more tolerance for evil… kill it, before it kills the good life completely!
SHAME ON YOU, PANDEMIC HATE MONGERS
People are dying around the world by the thousands and even more are suffering near-death in hospitals for months, while out on the streets are the rabble-rousers,
and self-centered malcontents, all brainless evil hate mongers; they strive for recognition and self-promotion in order to capitalize on a horrible situation for personal profit of one kind or another. We are all well aware of the kindness and commitment of the medical professions through these dire times, neighbors helping neighbors, and civic groups and essential workers doing beyond best to keep operations continuing while subjecting themselves to a killer infection… this is extreme goodness… this is God working through religious people or whoever He wants to bring relief where needed. But The Holy Spirit of God is not working through the mouths of those who cause division… as in politicians who can’t set aside their petty differences to unite a sick and scared nation but rather use discord for self-promotion. The Liberal Democrats won’t back off one iota in their vendetta against the President during this learn-as-you-go pandemic; criticism does nothing after-the-fact for measures that must be newly tried where past experience provides few guidelines. I did however hear Democratic Governors Newsom and Cuomo praise President Trump for his quick and providential response to their requests… that’s the way UNITED states should work!
Once China was blamed for this outbreak, Asian hate crimes in this country increased overnight! That’s absolutely ludicrous for such stupid venality to exist except where illiteracy has combined with evil. I saw an irate slob violently call out to an oriental person on the street: “Go back to China!” That’s not the image of God walking our streets, certainly not. What about all the protestors to wearing a mask, and practicing 
social distancing who were spouting their civil liberties were being denied and wanted to party and congregate as they pleased… such selfishness saw fit to shoot an officer for trying to enforce the mask in public, while another poor excuse for a human being felt compelled to shove a park officer into a pond of water for being confronted… pure evil! Desperate times should not be fodder for selfishness, especially when the greater good is in such jeopardy, but the vilest of scumbags find ways to prey on the weak, scared, and vulnerable. A terrified world has no other choice but to take it one day at a time… right now we have suffered over a hundred thousand deaths in the U.S. alone, which means there are at least another one to two hundred thousand people in sudden mourning… over a million five hundred thousand cases of the virus endured here which affects all families with constant anxiety and stress… loss of jobs and income are in the making with businesses also dying… schools unlikely to reopen soon have parents in a quandary on how to return to a job and leave children at home… and a second wave of the coronavirus could return in the fall killing more until a cure is found… and all the while this horrific turmoil is going on, the selfish evil wants to go to the beach and party, demand business re-openings, entertainment, sports, and bars all for their pleasure at the expense of the greater good… again, this is definitely not the persona of Jesus walking our streets.
These abject egotists are always around, they just come out in stronger numbers when society provides them a spotlight, and that is exactly when Christians must openly judge and condemn selfishness. A very serious misconception exists in an unschooled populace that believes when The Bible says, “Judge not, least you be judge…” you are not allowed to say anything derogatory about anyone… well that’s not true. What that was meant to relay, is to stop
all the petty critiques of people’s material or natural characteristics. Jesus said it more accurately with, “Stop judging by outward appearances, and start judging justly.” (John 7:24) Judge justly anyone’s sinful evil vices… those offenses in the spiritual or supernatural world that offend God and make life miserable for everyone else. Over and over we are told: convince, reprimand, rebuke with all long suffering and teaching, and especially, “Those who persist in sin should be rebuked in front of everyone, so that the others will stand in fear of sin.” (1 Timothy 5:20) In these horrific times we should come together for the greater good and put aside our petty differences… we have become such a polarized nation from political displays of continuing deep hatred coming from evil hearts who will only think of self. A material pandemic is killing by the thousands, a spiritual pandemic of global evil is eradicating the good life for everyone… both require material measures to be taken to remain safe, and while physical existence ends, spiritual existence is eternal… and that is only earned by DOING good, with God’s help.
